‘Sickening’ racist graffiti sprayed on gable wall of family home in Lurgan

"The community stands with newcomer families. Racism is the enemy of workers and families. Those who promote racism do not have the interest of the local community at heart."

Brownlow Terrace in Lurgan

Those responsible for racist graffiti on a house in Lurgan have been condemned.

The letters ‘KKK’ were sprayed on the gable wall of a property at Brownlow Terrace.

And Deputy Mayor Sorchá McGeown has said those responsible are “the ones who are not welcome”.

She stated: “The community stands with newcomer families. The KKK are synonymous with racism across the world.

And the Sinn Féin councillor added: “Racism is the enemy of workers and families. Those who promote racism do not have the interest of the local community at heart.
“I would appeal to anyone with information about those behind this sickening graffiti to contact the police.”
