Acknowledgement for the late Kathleen McMorran (Portadown)

McMorran, Kathleen.

The family of the Kathleen McMorran (Nee McGrath) (Portadown) wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have sympathised with us and supported us after the sad loss of our dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

We will always be grateful for the kindness extended to us from our family, friends and neighbours.

Thank you to all those who attended the Wake and Funeral, to those who sent us sincere messages of condolence, and to those who have made generous donations to Marie Curie.

Our grateful thanks to Father Martin Doohan (cousin of Kathleen) who led the Funeral Mass. The homily was so personal and brought comfort and peace to all present. It was a wonderful celebration of Kathleen’s life.

The service was enriched by Paul Mullan (nephew of Kathleen) who played a moving instrumental piece to support the excellent music and singing, organised by Kate Adams, and conduced by Rosemary Kelly. Thanks to Jonathan Bentata (son-in-law of Kathleen) for his entertaining eulogy.

All of this was made possible by the kindness of Father Desmond Loughran who welcomed our family into his Parish, and his prayers and support were, and continue to be a source of great comfort to us.

Words cannot adequately express our thanks and gratitude for the excellent care provided throughout Kathleen’s illness. To her GP, Dr E De Alwis, Wynne Hill Surgery, a special word of thanks for her unfailing care and attention.

To the medical team at Craigavon Area Hospital for always being so positive and welcoming, to the incredible Portadown District Nursing team, and to Marie Curie who all provided us with the highest level of support and kindness during a sad time, thank you.

Thank you to Jack Mc Learnon & Son Funeral Directors for carrying out the funeral arrangements with such dignity and compassion.

Our thanks also to Gilberry Fare and The Banville Hotel for providing delicious refreshments.

Month Mind masses will be offered in thanksgiving for you all.
