A Musical Celebration of St Patrick in St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral Armagh

St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral will come alive on March 15 to the sound of renowned musicians from Newry Chamber Music comprising the classical and traditional worlds of musical genres who will be performing in this concert to honour our patron Saint.

Musicians will include David Quigley, piano, Aisling Agnew, flute, Mary McCabe, soprano, Owen Gilhooly, baritone and Zoe Conway and John McIntyre,  fiddle and guitar. The repertoire encompasses beloved Irish melodies including” Danny Boy,” “I dreamt I dwelt in Marble Halls, “”The Cousin,”” She moved through the fair” along with original compositions and rediscovered Irish gems.

Performed by some of Ireland’s finest musicians and introducing two fantastic young artists from our own County Armagh.

Music, which will be familiar to the audience, will be presented in arrangements previously unheard by most and will include songs and music from County Armagh and neighbouring counties along with traditional favourites, slow airs, jigs and reels.

This bespoke event will be introduced and presented by Armagh native Joris Minne who will relay stories of growing up in Armagh and the special place the Cathedrals hold for him.

This event will take place on Friday March 15 and tickets are priced at £20. The event will last for 2 hours.
