Residents in Hamiltonsbawn are being urged to remain vigilant as men in area are “acting suspiciously”.
A group of men are currently going door to door in the village, believed to be sell knives and pillows.
One concerned resident told Armagh I that those selling the goods have also allegedly marked fences over the past number of months.
It is understood the markings, which were not entirely eligible, may read ‘PI’.
The chalk markings were left under a step, so not always visible to the naked eye.
Police have been notified, however, it must also be noted that these markings may not have anything to do with the cold callers.
