The Lord Mayor, Councillor Mealla Campbell was spreading the festive cheer when she recently presented a trio of ‘Fairtrade Christmas Hampers’ at Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre.

The wonderful hampers, which are packed with fabulous Council promotional items and Fairtrade goodies, were part of the magical Town Centre ‘Christmas Switch-On and Twilight Market Events’ during November.

The free-to-enter draw was part of the council’s ‘Discover Your Christmas’ celebrations.

The lucky recipients of the luxury Christmas Fairtrade Giveaway Hampers and congratulations goes to;

Kirsty Fong – Lurgan 15th November
Rhonda and Christopher Lappin – Portadown 22nd November
Rachel Douglas – Banbridge 29th November

Visitors to the council stand at the Twilight markets which hosted each draw were able to receive information on a host of council initiatives including Fairtrade, Love Food Hate Waste, Recycling, Single Use Plastics, Conservation & Biodiversity and Sustainability.

Market goers were also encouraged to sign up to important environmental council pledges including the Green Dog Walker scheme and the Refillution in partnership with NI Water.

Council’s PCSP were also on hand offering advice on staying safe this festive season and promoting the vital work they do across the Borough.
