Two Co Armagh hauliers were brutally assaulted in the French port of Calais earlier this month.
The attacks occurred on men working for Keady firm Carna Transport.
The Sunday World reports that French authorities are liaising with Carna management over the incident.
Images of the incidents shared on social media show pools of blood outside the cabins. Another shows one of the drivers being assisted by emergency services.
Robert Heavin, General Manager of Carna Transport Ireland, speaking to the newspaper, said the men were back working within days of the shocking incident.
“We are assisting police with inquiries. Both men were back at work within days.
“That is all we will say,” he said.
The reports goes on to describe the treacherous nature of being a lorry driver between Calais and the UK.
One source told the newspaper: “What happened in Calais is a common occurrence, it’s different rules now — it’s more a case of looking over your shoulder.”
