DkIT organising a virtual Open Day for Northern Ireland applicants

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), a leading provider of career-focused higher education in the border region, is organising a Virtual Open Day on Tuesday, April 21 (10am-7pm).

Registration for the digital event is available via virtualopenday.dkit.ie/.

The Virtual Open Day is completely free and will provide potential applicants with an opportunity to explore DkIT courses, find out more about student life and learn more about the campus and its state-of-the-art facilities.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to chat live with the DkIT admissions team about how to apply to DkIT and they can even book follow-up i-meetings with lecturer from a relevant course of interest.

Unlike most universities and colleges in the Republic of Ireland, DkIT currently accepts A-Levels, Applied A-Levels and BTEC’s or a combination of all three as part of its admissions process. Applications are still open via the Central Applications Office (www.cao.ie) until 1st May 2020 at 17:15 pm.

Speaking today, DkIT Schools Liaison Officer, Diarmuid Cahill said: “DkIT is an increasingly attractive option for applicants in Northern Ireland due to its inclusive admissions policy, convenient location and its affordable fees structure. What also differentiates us from other higher education providers is our unique focus on hands-on learning and career-ready skills.

“We currently offer more than 50 undergraduate degree programmes and our graduate employment rate exceeds 94 percent. New courses on offer for 2020 applicants include Arts, International Tourism Management, Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality and Musical Theatre.

The virtual open day is available to school-leavers, students progressing from further education, their parents and mature applicants. Special guidance will provided to students who have questions about applying to CAO from Northern Ireland.
