1. Richhill Half Term Kids Camps
Richhill Recreation Centre has bags going on this February half term, with a range of one-hour sports camps. Running on Monday 14th and Wednesday 16th February and priced at £3, the camps are perfect for keeping the kids active if the weather does turn wet and miserable outside:
Dance Camps | 1pm – 2pm for aged 5-8 years | 2.15pm – 3.15pm for aged 9-12 years
Soccer Camps | 10am – 11am for aged 5-8 years | 11.15am – 12.15pm for aged 9-12 years

2. South Lake ‘Learn to Kayak’
The fully qualified BCU/CANI Instructors at South lake Watersports, Craigavon are hosting ‘Learn to Kayak’ group sessions on the Sunday 13th and Saturday 26th February. The fun lessons take place from 10am – 12pm and are a great introduction to kayaking, perhaps leading to a summer spent on the lakes with the South Lake Paddlers Club.

3. South Lake ‘Winter Recreational Waterskiing’
Go it alone or bring a friend on 19th or 20th February and 5th, 6th, 19th or 20th March. The speedboat is on standby and the centre provides all the equipment including high quality wetsuits. Warming up after some cold exposure is one of the best feelings in the world. You’ll have a great time during and feel amazing afterwards.

4. Snowtubing and Skiing at Craigavon Golf & Ski Centre
From 5 years and older, enjoy the exhilaration of snowtubing on Saturday 12th and 19th February or, for those with some skiing experience, develop those skills further and have loads of fun with a one-hour session at a Kids Ski Club on Tuesday 15th February.

5. Family Swim Time
Lock the digital devices away and spend some quality time together as a family this half term at the pool. Both the water and the pool building itself will be nice and warm, so you can even pretend you’re abroad on holiday, whatever the weather’s doing outside! If visiting South Lake Leisure Centre, have double the fun with a swim and visit to the South Lake Soft Play.

6. Street Soccer
The popular Street Soccer programme at Lurgan CentrePoint 3G, suitable for boys & girls age 12-17 years, starts on Saturday 4th February and runs for four weeks. Participants can create their own team or can be assigned to a team upon arrival for the weekly 5-a-side tournaments. The evenings also include a Gaming Bus, make-up artist, bubble football and food will be provided!

7. Winter Park Life
If you are planning a family visit to one of the many local parks and open spaces, don’t forget to download the Winter Scavenger Hunt before you go and bring the whole family closer to nature this winter. The bare trees not only open up views which can be obscured by summer foliage, but also allow good opportunities for some half term bird spotting!
