A Summer of Legends & Local Debuts
The momentum doesn’t stop there. The Summer Sessions will feature a diverse roster of talent designed to keep the dance floor packed:
Seamus Moore: The legendary “JCB Man” makes his highly anticipated Swifty’s debut this summer, bringing his signature humour and folk-country classics.
The Danny Byrne Band: Prepare for a night of high-energy anthems and floor-filling hits.
Returning to Swifty’s for the second year is the ‘Nashville Comes to Newtown’ Festival running over the August bank holiday (28-30 ): In July, Swifty’s will transform to a dedicated country music festival, solidifying its status as a regional hub for the genre.
Expanding the Experience: The Cosy Bar

In an exciting move for the local community, Swifty’s officially expanded with the acquisition of the ‘Cosy Bar’ in Newtownhamilton back in April by husband and wife Aidan and Colleen Swift, who acquired Swifty’s over two years ago.
Over the coming weeks, the Cosy Bar will introduce a curated selection of “counter acts,” providing an intimate cosy setting for quality live music that complements the main stage festival atmosphere.
“This summer marks a new chapter for us,” says Aidan Swift the Man behind the Swifty’s team.
“We are the heart of community and are involved with local sports clubs and like to make our bar the meeting place and the hub for the players.
“We’re building a venue where the music is top-quality, the atmosphere is matched, and everyone is welcome.”
“We have an incredible team here who are always up for craic – you might even get some of our staff up for a sing song! Niamh Gibney is our manager of the Cosy and Swifty’s bar who helps ‘keeps the wheels’ turning.”
