Sean Magee

Join Armagh City Hotel on May 24, 2024 for a night of electrifying music with the incredibly talented Sean Magee!

Sean’s musical journey began at the age of 7, when he started playing traditional Irish music in school. He honed his Fiddle skills under the guidance of the renowned Irish legend, Pat McManus. Sean’s musical journey quickly led him to the stage, as he started performing at the tender age of 9, often sharing the spotlight with his father, entertaining audiences in the north of Ireland.

A few years down the road, Sean’s family joined the act, with his siblings Jamie on the Button accordion and Eli-Rose contributing their vocal talents. Together, they formed “The Magee Family Band,” and though they occasionally reunite for performances, Sean has also forged his path as a solo artist.

At just 14 years old, Sean’s talent shone bright as he clinched the 1st place at The All Ireland Fleadh competition in the under 15 category, showcasing his exceptional skills on the fiddle.

In recent years, Sean has taken his music worldwide, gracing stages in Germany, Spain, New York City, Amsterdam, and beyond. Sean’s journey led him to collaborate with Donegal musician Rory Gallagher, known for his role in “Rory and The Island.” Together, they embarked on an extensive tour, covering Ireland, the UK, and even securing a week-long residency at RiRa Irish Bar in Las Vegas in 2019.

Today, Sean Magee stands as a well-established musician and performer, known for his dynamic and diverse musical style, delivering each performance with boundless energy.
