Her funeral arrangements are expected to be announced later.

A poignant poem to accompany the notice read:

‘Gone from us that smiling face,
The cheerful pleasant ways,
The heart that won so many friends,
A life made beautiful by kindly deeds,
A helping hand for everyones’ needs.
A beautiful life comes to an end,
She died as she lived,
Everyone’s friend.’

Tributes have been shared online for a “lovely woman” who had so much time for people.

One tribute read: “Rosie was a great woman who, when living in [Ballymena], enjoyed creative friendships with everyone. A caring heart and a loving mother, sister, and aunt, Rosie will be sorely missed by her immediate and surrounding family.”

Family and friends have spoken of their personal heartbreak and the void Rosie’s passing will leave in their lives.

May she Rest in Peace.
