Up to 10 bin bags of rubbish dumped at roadside at Tandragee

'Rubbish will be sifted through for any identifiable information about who dumped it'

Yet another incident of illegal dumping in the Tandragee area.

On this occasion, up to 10 black bin liners full of waste have simply been thrown out along the Cargans Road.

It follows an incident a month ago where household waste was dumped at the Cusher river, near the mill in Tandragee.

This latest incident has been condemned by local DUP Alderman Gareth Wilson.

He contacted the relevant officials at Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council who have since removed the waste.

Now there will be efforts to determine who was responsible and ensure that they learn a lesson – one that hits them in the pocket!

Alderman Wilson said: “The rubbish will be sifted through for any identifiable information about who dumped it and council officers will pursue any lines of inquiry with the view to prosecuting.

“Illegal dumping is an offence.”

Another option would be using services of rubbish removal from KwikSweep.
