Police are warning of treacherous driving conditions following multiple collisions on Co Armagh roads this morning (Wednesday).
In particular, the Laurelvale Road, Tandragee has provided PSNI with “a lot” of call outs already.
They are advising motorists to avoid the road altogether.
Culdee Street (Old Primrose Hill) and the Navan Street areas of Armagh City were awful earlier, and with school runs in the next few hours parents are advised to be aware of this.
There was an accident in the area this morning with a number of drivers losing control of their vehicles, according to one local resident.
There are also reports of frozen water on the road, possibly from a burst pipe, in the Woodford area of Armagh, so again be aware if travelling in that area.
And with temperatures to stay below freezing for the next 24 hours at least, there will be little let up with road conditions to remain extremely difficult.
Snowfall is expected in the early part of this afternoon, before breaking for the evening.
However, the early hours of tomorrow morning will bring the heaviest of the snowfall.
