Katie Lavery passed away at home – her "happy place" – on Thursday night

The mum of a young Tandragee girl who passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday has paid tribute to a daughter who “brought light, laughter, and love into our lives every single day”.

The passing of Katie Lavery in “her happy place” – at her Richmond Drive home – was shared by her heartbroken mother, Cathy.

A funeral notice describes Katie as the much-loved daughter of Jason and Cathy, a precious sister of Maisie and Poppy, and a dear granddaughter.

Mum Cathy wrote: “With unimaginable sorrow, we share that our beloved daughter Katie passed away peacefully at home last night (in her happy place), surrounded by her loving family.

“Words cannot express the depth of our pain or the love we will always hold for her.

“She brought light, laughter, and love into our lives every single day. Her kind heart, beautiful spirit, and the joy she gave to everyone around her will never be forgotten.

“Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made will last forever. We are grateful for every moment we had with her and will carry her memory in our hearts always.

“Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this heartbreak.
Rest in peace, our sweet girl. You are forever loved. Love you so, so much – Mummy, Daddy, Maisie & Poppy.

“Our lives will never be the same without you, Princess.”

Katie’s funeral will leave her home on Sunday, May 11 at 12.30pm for a service in Ballymore Parish Church, Tandragee at 1pm, followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be sent to Jordan Laverty, 22 Old Mill Race, Tandragee, BT62 2FE, to benefit N.I. Children’s Hospice (with cheques made payable to the Hospice).

Family and friends are welcome to call at the home on Friday and Saturday between 2pm and 9pm.

The family has also asked for bright colours to be worn.
