The Tandragee Road in Poyntzpass has been closed in both directions after a serious road traffic collision.
Several ambulances are at the scene outside Scarva close to Acton crossroads.
Police are closing the road and turning traffic away, according to eye-witnesses on the scene.
Fire crews are also in attendance.
The eye-witness told Armagh I: “There are loads of sirens and fire crews and ambulances attending the scene. Going by the response alone, this is pretty serious.”
It is not known how many vehicles are involved.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are currently attending a serious three vehicle road traffic collision at the Tandragee Road, Pontzpass this evening.
“The road is closed in both directions and motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative main routes for their journey.”
