Two men have died in a road traffic collision close to the Armagh border.
The fatal single-vehicle crash happened on the R173 in Carlingford, near North Commons, at around 12.30am this morning.
Two males were pronounced dead at the scene following the single car collision. No other persons were injured.
Both deceased males have been removed to Louth County Hospital in Dundalk for post mortem examinations.
This stretch of road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.

Newry SDLP councillor Michael Savage said his “thoughts and prayers are with the families at this time. Another tragedy on local roads”.
Co Louth Sinn Fein councillor Antoin Watters added: “Very sad morning today in the Cooley Peninsula. Thoughts and prayers with the two young lads families and friends who died in the accident outside Carlingford last night.”
