Police appeal on serious attack on ‘Loco’ Crilly

POLICE have appealed to the public for help after Armagh man Gerard – known locally as ‘Loco’ – Crilly was seriously injured in a city centre assault three months ago.
There was a delay in reporting the incident to police due to the extent of the injuries sustained by the 51-year-old city man.
Police have been working to establish the exact circumstances of the assault and today (Tuesday) asked for eyewitnesses or anyone who can help in any way to come forward.
Mr Crilly was assaulted in the car park at Eurospar, at Dobbin Street Lane, on Saturday, August 10. He sustained serious injuries and was admitted to hospital.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact them in Armagh on 0845 600 8000. If you prefer to  provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent  Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
