There have been 17 more deaths recorded in Northern Ireland, according to figures released by the Public Health Agency (PHA).
It brings the NI death total up to 193 following the 18 recorded yesterday (Friday).
The 18 on Friday – for the second day in a row – had been the second highest daily total of fatalities recorded to date.
The number of confirmed cases officially stands at 2486.
These deaths confirmed by the Public Health Agency are largely those which have occurred in hospitals.
On Friday, the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency began to release new weekly figures to show those who had died in care homes and other settings other than hospitals.
This covered the period of the preceding week with yesterday’s numbers taking account up to April 10.
It had indicated, cumulatively, 41 deaths in care homes and hospices and seven at residential addresses.
The 41 deaths in care homes and hospices involved 23 separate establishments.
The next detailed breakdown from NISRA will be released next Friday and cover the period up until yesterday (Friday), April 17.
