A group of youths stole a wallet with a quantity of cash from an elderly man in Newry at the weekend, police have said.
The incident took place on Arthur Street in the city at approximately 4pm yesterday (Sunday), with police reporting that “two or three” young men were involved.
They are aged approximately 20-years-old and have dark hair.
The persons then made off in the direction of Talbot Street, before proceeding onto Sandys Street.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: “We would be keen for anyone who seen this occur or seen any males running away to contact police.
“We would also be keen for anyone with CCTV or Dash Cam footage to contact us. In order to help identify the assailants. This can be done by phoning 101 and quoting reference 1092 of 22/10/23.”
