A second person has died suddenly at a property in Newry in less than a week.
Police were tasked to the scene of a sudden death in the Sandys Street area of the city on Wednesday evening – just four days after a similar incident on the same street.
A police spokesperson said a “post mortem will be held in due course to establish the cause of death”.
Adding: “Enquiries are ongoing and there are no further details at this stage.”
Sinn Féin Geraldine Kearns has expressed her shock at another incident.
“This is the second such incident in the locality within a few days and it has once again shocked the local community,” she said.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased.”
