A Co Armagh women’s Orange lodge is ensuring the elderly and vulnerable in their local community are not forgotten about at this time.
Comfort packs are being compiled by the Markethill-based Anne Sinton Memorial WLOL 105.
Essential provisions and toiletries – with personalised cards and messages – are being distributed.
Among the recipients is one of the lodge members who is pregnant and therefore advised not to go out.
Worshipful Mistress C Dougan said: “We have been keeping in close contact with all our vulnerable sisters and indeed all sisters of the lodge offering our full support to them.
“We have several sisters in the lodge who are vital key workers on the frontline and in the community.
“We are proud of all their efforts, appreciate and applaud them.
“We would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all businesses in Markethill, the pharmacies and last but not least the doctors and nurses and reception staff at Markethill Health Centre.
“Each and every one one of you is valued.”
