One person was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision on the Gosford Road near Loughgilly on Thursday evening.
Emergency services rushed to the incident, which involved a black Audi estate and small silver car, shortly before 8pm.
Eye-witnesses reported how the cars were around 100-foot apart, with debris – and the tyres of one of the vehicles – all over the road.
Despite the severity of the collision, the road remained open to passing traffic.
A spokesperson for the NI Ambulance Service (NIAS) told Armagh I: “We received a 999 call at 19.50pm on Thursday evening following reports of an incident in the Gosford Road area, Armagh.
“NIAS despatched three emergency crews to the incident. Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Daisy Hill Hospital by ambulance.”
The road was cleared and fully re-opened later that evening.
It’s the latest smash on the same stretch of road and comes just three months after a woman was cut free from her car and rushed to hospital following a collision involving two lorries.
