Tributes have poured in for a popular dad-of-two after he was found dead in Lurgan yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
Paul Curran, 29, was was discovered in the Manor Drive area of the Co Armagh town.
Last night police arrested two men and a woman, all aged in their 30s, as part of their investigation into Mr Curran’s death.
The former St Paul’s High School pupil was a popular man and tributes have flooded in following the shock news.
One person posted: “Thinking of your family at this sad time. Rest in peace Paul Curran. You will defiantly be missed by many! Taken way too young, I’ll see you again.”
Former SDLP councillor Thomas Larkham said: “Another young life cut short. My heart goes out to the Curran and Toland families at this very difficult and devastating time. Thinking of you all! RIP Paul.”
One woman posted: “Such a sad day 2 hear of the passing of our good friend chucky. Paul Curran. Cant believe the sad news . So many memories from the old days down shankill….another life taken too soon and another friend sadly gone. im sure ur up there with joe now . Rest easy chucks.”
Another posted: “It’s so sad and scary how one min you can be talking n having a laugh with someone and the next min they’re gone. And all your left with is memories. We all take life for granted and it’s times like this you realise you really don’t know what’s around the corner. Sad news for Lurgan today again. RIP Chucky you will be sadly missed.”
One friend simply posted: “Hearts broke gonna miss u pal R.I.P Paul Curran.”
Upper Bann Ulster Unionist Doug Beattie MC MLA said: “It is with shock, and sadness, that I learn tonight of the loss of young man’s life in Lurgan.
“Circumstances are uncertain at this time, however, it remains that a family is left in mourning tonight and my condolences are with them as they face the times ahead.”
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Talbot said: “Police were called to the scene shortly after 2.50pm this afternoon and the body of the man was discovered inside a house. A post mortem examination will take place to determine the cause of death.
“As part of the investigation police have arrested two males and a female all in their thirties. They are all currently in police custody.
“I would ask anyone in the community who knows anything about the circumstances to contact police and give us this information.
