Three people remain in custody as police officially name man found dead in Lurgan

Three people remain in custody following the discovery of a man’s body in Lurgan yesterday afternoon (Thursday).

Detectives from PSNI Serious Crime Branch, conducting a murder investigation following the discovery of a body at a house in Manor Drive in Lurgan, confirmed the deceased is 29-year-old Paul Gerard Curran.

Detective Chief Inspector Eamonn Corrigan said: “Paul’s body was discovered inside the house shortly after 2.50pm on Thursday afternoon.

“A post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death and two men and a woman, all aged in their 30s, remain in police custody at this time in relation to the investigation.

“I continue to appeal to anyone with any information which could assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives in Lurgan on 101 quoting reference number 639 09/03/17. Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
