A new petrol station complete with drive-thru coffee shop and drive-thru restaurant is being planned for lands at Millennium Way, Lurgan.
Proposals for the development have been lodged with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council for consideration.
The plans, submitted by LCC Group Ltd, have earmarked for development the 1.17 hectare site at Millennium Way, to the south east of Home Bargains and 70 metres south west of Hamilton Street, Lurgan.
The development – if approved – would see construction of a substantial mixed development consisting of a petrol filling station with 10 fuel pumps, associated car wash, car valeting and service bays, drive-thru coffee shop and a drive-thru hot food/restaurant.
The facilities would occupy an estimated total gross floor space of 610 square metres.
An in-person drop-in event will be held at The Jethro Centre, 6 Flush Place, Lurgan, Craigavon, BT66 7DT on Wednesday June 19, 2024 from 2pm to 6pm to allow interested parties to view the display boards for the proposal and provide feedback via printed comment cards.
Members of the consultation team will attend the event to answer any questions that local residents and stakeholders may have, and to collect feedback on the proposal.
A neighbourhood information drop will take place to residents within a c.200m radius from the edge of the subject site.
Information will be provided in a Tri-fold Leaflet that contains a comment card for the return of feedback.
The leaflet will include information on the drop-in event at The Jethro Centre, and details of the point of contact within the Technical Team to ask questions, or to provide feedback on the proposal.
A public notice will be advertised on the proposed date of June 5, with additional information including details of the drop-in event and a contact number for any interested parties to speak to a member of the development team.
