Man who stole alcohol from Sainsbury’s to be sentenced next month

A man who stole alcohol from a local store must wait until next month to be sentenced.

Court heard the 47-year-old made away with £18.60 worth of goods from the Sainsbury’s store earlier this year.

Vytautas Geovygas, of Marlborough Park, Lurgan pleaded guilty to four counts of theft at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

It was heard over on July 30, the defendant stole a total of £18.60 worth of alcohol from Sainsburys.

Upon hearing the charges District Judge Bernie Kelly requested the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Geovygas was released on bail to appear on September 20 for sentencing.
