A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing incident in Lurgan on Sunday afternoon.
A report was received at approximately 2.25pm today, Sunday, September 6, concerning a man aged in his 40s who had sustained stab wounds to his back at a property in the Grattan Street area.
Officers attended, alongside colleagues from our Armed Response Unit (ARU). The suspect, a 34-year-old man made off from the scene and was detained a short distance away.
The victim was taken onward to hospital where he remains in a serious condition at this time.
Officers remain at the scene this evening as our enquiries continue into what happened.
