Police have charged a man to court following a stabbing in the Grattan Street area of Lurgan on Sunday, 6th September.
The 34-year-old is charged with attempted murder. He is due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates’ Court this morning, Monday, 7th September.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
A report was received at approximately 2.25pm on Sunday, September 6, concerning a man aged in his 40s who had sustained stab wounds to his back at a property in the Grattan Street area.
Officers attended, alongside colleagues from our Armed Response Unit (ARU). The suspect, a 34-year-old man made off from the scene and was detained a short distance away.
The victim was taken onward to hospital where he remains in a serious condition at this time.
