Plans afoot for large free range poultry shed in Loughgall

A planning application has been submitted to bring a free range poultry shed, that could house up to 32,000 free range hens, to the outskirts of Loughgall.

The application will, if approved, see a free range poultry shed with four feed bins, a storage shed, standby generator building and associated site works built at lands approximately 250m north east of 53 Derryloughgan Road, Loughgall.

The application notes the shed is set to contain 32,000 free range egg laying hens.

The application was submitted by agent, Henry Marshall Brown Architectural Partnership on behalf of applicant Roger and Jeffrey Allen.

The application was submitted on Wednesday, February 10, and will be advertised until Friday, March 26.
