This morning, the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice, which is in place from 3pm today until noon tomorrow.
The alert covers all six counties in Northern Ireland.
The warning reads: “Showers of rain and sleet near coasts, and snow inland, will continue to affect Northern Ireland this afternoon and into this evening.
“Overnight, showers should become confined to coastal areas. With winds easing, it is likely to be a much colder night than last night, bringing widespread frost and icy patches.”
Motorists have been advised to take their time and only journey if necessary, as reports come in of icy conditions and delays across the Armagh and Dungannon areas.
