Emeregency services are at the scene of what is being described as a “major incident” in Dungannon.
The incident happened after 8pm this evening (Thursday) at flats in the Lisnahull area of the town.
A 999 call was made to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service after 8pm.
A spokesperson for NIAS said a rapid response paramedic, together with two emergency crews and advanced paramedic had been despatched to the incident.
But the spokesperson added: “Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene no patients were taken to hospital.”
Local Sinn Fein Councillor Deirdre Varsani, posting via social media, described it as a “major incident”.
“Emergency crews and multiple police cars are in attendance and a large area is cordoned off,” she said. “No access or exit is currently possible via the Newell Road entrance to Lisnahull and this is likely to continue while teams carry out their duties.
“People in the area are understandably concerned and more details will be updated, but at present emergency teams from across the full range of services thank local people for their patience and cooperation.”
There are no further details at present.
