Woman accused of causing grievous bodily harm to female to face Crown Court in New Year

She was released on her own bail to appear before Craigavon Crown Court in January

Craigavon Magistrates Court

A woman accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a female and assaulting another will face Crown Court proceedings in the New Year.

Court heard that the 25-year-old is alleged to have committed both offences on November 15, 2017.

Emma Wilson, of Meadowfield Court, Aghalee, appeared charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and common assault at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

As the charges were read, court heard the offences are alleged to have been committed on November 15, 2017, and relate to two females.

Appearing in the body of the court, the defendant made no objection to the holding of a preliminary enquiry.

Prosecution submitted that based on the papers before the court there was a prima facie case to answer.

Defence solicitor Robert Murtagh made no contrary submissions.

District Judge Amanda Brady, satisfied there was a prima facie case to answer, released Wilson on continuing bail to  appear before Craigavon Crown Court on January 14 for arraignment.
