AN entry of 1000 sheep at Markethill on Wednesday, July 3, sold in another firm trade, resulting in a complete clearance.
Heavy lambs sold to £97 each and averaged £94.90 each.
Middleweight lambs sold to 417p per kilo for 21 kilos @ £87.50 each. All suitable pens sold from 400p to 412p per kilo.
Stores were in very good demand from 380p to 410p per kilo for 19.5 kilos @ £80 each.
Good quality cull ewes sold from £60 to £74 each with 2nds from £35 to £55 each.
Sheep sales as normal on 10th and 17th July.
