A car was used to try and ram through a county Armagh shop in the early hours of this morning.
Detectives are appealing for information following an attempted burglary that occurred at a shop in the Silverbridge Road area of Newry this morning (Tuesday).
At approximately 5.20am, it is believed that a Peugeot 406 reversed in the shutters of the shop.
No access was gained to the shop.
Detective Sergeant Emme Wallace said: “I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives at Ardmore Police Station on the non emergency number 101.
“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
