Police have made two arrests following an altercation in Dungormely on Tuesday, 23rd December.
At around 4:15pm, police received a report of on-going disturbance in which it was alleged a male and female had assaulted a number of people and caused damage to multiple properties and vehicles in the area.
Officers attended and arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of assault on police after head-butting an officer during arrest.
He was also arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of criminal damage, five counts of common assault and possession of a Class A controlled drug.
A 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of two counts of common assault and further arrested on suspicion of assault on police after kicking a police officer to the head while on route for hospital treatment.
They both remain in custody at this time.
