A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following what police have described as a “domestic-related assault” in the Derrytrasna area near Lurgan.
Police were alerted to the incident at around 6.40am on Monday, December 22, after receiving a report that a woman in her 70s had been stabbed.
A man and a woman, both aged in their 40s, were also reported injured during the incident.
A man in his 20s also sustained injuries.
All four were taken to hospital for treatment. Police have said that while the injuries are serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening.
Confirming an arrest, a PSNI spokesperson said: “A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody at this time.”
