Two women hospitalised and third arrested following serious crash outside Armagh

Two women were rushed to hospital – and a third woman arrested – following a serious road traffic collision outside Portadown this morning (Wednesday).

The crash, which involved three vehicles, happened on the Dobbin Road, prompting a large-scale emergency response.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police received a report shortly after 7am this morning of a three-vehicle road traffic collision in the Dobbin Road area of Armagh.

“Officers attended alongside colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

“Two women were conveyed to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not described as life threatening at this time.

“A 27-year old-woman has been arrested on suspicion of driving-related offences and remains in police custody at this time.

“The road has now reopened.”
