A huge fireball has been seen in the skies over Armagh tonight.
The green object was seen moving in a northernly direction.
One person who contacted Armagh I said it moved at a very high velocity and quickly disappeared out of view.
“It was a beautiful sight,” she said. “But it all happened very fast. It was just like a fireball and shot across the sky. One second it was there and the next it was gone.”

Another reported seeing it from Lurgan and described it as “amazing”.
There are no confirmed reports of what exactly the phenomenon was. But it has been suggested by some that it was indeed a meteor.
Some are reporting via Twitter that a meteor may have landed in Donegal and believe that is what was spotted over County Armagh.
