The Farmer Wants a Wife – Get Your Tickets Now!

Southern Area Hospice Services are delighted to announce that tickets have gone on sale for ‘The Farmer Wants a Wife’, a fun-filled fundraising event which will take place at Armagh City Hotel on Saturday, November 3.

A number of single farmers are ready to take to the stage at ‘The Farmer Wants a Wife’ in a bid to impress all the single ladies in the audience in the hope of winning themselves a date with a potential future wife.

The farmers will be interviewed on stage by MC for the event, Malachi Cush who will put them through their paces by quizzing them about their farms, their machinery and of course what qualities they are looking for in a potential future wife.

Some of the farmers may surprise the audience by performing a talent as part of their interview – talents in previous years have included everything from cow milking demonstrations to the best of good jiving so who knows what the farmers will have in store this year.

After the interviews it will be down to the audience and the judging panel which includes, Lynette Fay of BBC Radio Ulster, James Speers, President of the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster and Southern Area Hospice volunteer and committed farmer, John Jardine, to vote for their favourite farmer who will then go forward to a blind date finale to end the show.

All the money raised at ‘The Farmer Wants a Wife’ will help Southern Area Hospice Services to continue their work in the local area, caring for people who are living with Cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, such as Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease.

In order to maintain the level of care currently available, Southern Area Hospice Services must raise £2.6 million in 2018 alone – events such as the’ The Farmer Wants a Wife’ make a valuable contribution towards this target.

If you would like to come along and support the farmers and Southern Area Hospice Services get your tickets now before they’re all gone.

They are only £15 each and are on sale from Southern Area Hospice Services reception (Courtenay Hill, Newry), Armagh City Hotel reception (cash sales only), Tullyherron Farm Feeds, by ringing Anne on 028 30251333 or online at www.eventbrite.co.uk.
