The sun has still drawn people out to local beauty spots and on to the streets despite repeated calls for them to stay at home.

Angry readers have again been contacting Armagh I to complain of people blatantly ignoring the lockdown rules.

One contacted us to report that people had been “coming and going” all day at Darkley Lake.

“There have even been a number of people jet skiing on the lake,” she said. “It is not fair on the NHS.”

Another sent us a photograph of a group of young people gathering in Armagh city centre.

This was taken shortly before 6pm.

She said people appeared to be ignoring the warnings and the weather was drawing them out.

She said: “Social distancing, staying at home is still not being adhered to.

“There were 15 deaths today within Northern Ireland. Communities that have spent years divided are working together as outlined by our Government to reduce the spread, take care of our vulnerable and safeguard our fantastic health service.

“There should be no exceptions to these rules or above the law.

“I have been furloughed, my children are being home-schooled and have not been outside our home since school closed.

“My 84-year-old grandmother is not able to leave her home and I go only to the shop weekly for essentials.

“Every must stay at home and take this seriously.”
