Staff threatened during armed robbery at Armagh service station

It happened in the Moy Road area of the city and the man - who demanded money - made his escape in a black Shogun jeep

There has been an armed robbery at a service station in Armagh.

At around 4.35pm today (Friday) a man, who claimed to be armed with a gun, entered the premises at Moy Road, and threatened staff.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “He demanded that they hand over cash before making off.

“The man is described as being approximately six feet tall, of thin build and spoke with a local accent.

“He was wearing a navy coloured coat, black jogging bottoms and a snood.

“He was seen getting into a black Shogun jeep, with a wheel on the back with no rear licence plate and the front one taped up.”
