Reports of shots fired through door and window of house in Armagh

Police are investigating after shots were reportedly fired at a house in an Armagh estate in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).

The incident is understood to have occurred at a property in Callanbridge Park at around 2am, according to local sources.

Police and forensic officers have remained at the scene for much of the day as investigations continue.

Detective Sergeant Keys told Armagh I: “Detectives are investigating a report of shots being fired at a residential property in Armagh in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 13th May.

“It is believed that sometime overnight, damage was caused to the front door and window of a house in the Callan Bridge Park area.

“Two people were inside the property at the time of the incident, but thankfully there were no reports of any injuries.

“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we would appeal to anyone who saw any suspicious activity, or has any information which might assist, to contact 101 and quote reference number 640 13/05/26.”
