Two homes in Armagh and Portadown were ransacked while suspicious activity was reported in Hamiltonsbawn and Keady on Thursday evening.
Neighbourhood police in Armagh are urging the local community to prioritise home security in the run up to Christmas, following a series of burglaries in the area on Thursday, December 19.
It was reported that jewellery was stolen from an address in Abbey Park, Armagh at some point between 8am and 7.50pm.
The back door had been forced open, and the property had also been ransacked.
Meanwhile, a property in Brook Road, Portadown was entered at around 8pm by four masked men who smashed a rear door. Again the property was ransacked, but at this stage it isn’t believed that anything was taken.
Also on Thursday, two further reports were received of men acting suspiciously in the Bawn Meadows, Hamiltonsbawn and Granemore Road, Keady areas.
Enquiries into all reports are ongoing, and a possible link between these incidents is being explored.
Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Duffin said: “Opportunistic criminals know that you may have more high value items in your home than normal at Christmas, and we would ask that you take time to ensure that your property is as secure as possible. Please continue to be vigilant to any suspicious activity in your area, and report to police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.”
