An electricity fault in Armagh city centre is causing major problems for commuters this morning (Monday).
Traffic lights around the Friary Road and other parts of the city centre are out as a result of the fault, causing chaos for road users.
There is a buzz of business security alarms going off in and around the city centre.
Around 8,000 customers across the wider Armagh area have been affected because of the suspected equipment failure.
Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) have confirmed there is a problem and that they will be working to solve as quickly as possible.
An NIE spokesperson said: “We are aware of a fault in the central Armagh area. A repair team is on route and we will endeavour to restore supplies as quickly as we can.”
The company estimate the problem to be fixed for around 1.15pm this afternoon.
There are no further details at this stage.
