Acknowledgement for the late Phyllis Lyons (Coalisland)

Lyons, (nee Sands), Phyllis. Eamon and the entire family of the late Phyllis Lyons would like to express our sincere thanks to all our kind relatives, neighbours, friends, work colleagues, local schools, GAA and sporting communities who supported us during our recent loss. We were overwhelmed by the kindness and care shown by so many people who thought so dearly of Mummy. We are extremely grateful to those who attended the wake and funeral, those who stood along the route as Mummy made her final journey and those who joined us online via webcam. Thank you also to those who sent Mass Cards, letters, messages and expressed their condolences via telephone or social media.

Our deepest gratitude to the entire Staff at 3 South, Craigavon Area Hospital as well as to the Staff at Belfast City Hospital and The Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. Thank you to the wonderful Staff at Coalisland Health Centre especially Dr Mitchel, Dr McKenna and The District Nurses, for your exceptional care and attention towards Mummy. We are also deeply thankful for the support given by Ann’s Homecare Team and the Marie Curie Team. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything. We also want to acknowledge the outstanding care and support given to Mummy by our local pharmacies, with special thanks to Amos and Catriona Donnelly.

We would like to express a special word of thanks to Fr Eugene O’Neill and Fr John Gates for celebrating Mummy’s Requiem Mass in such a fitting manner and for their spiritual support, care and friendship along with Canon Benny Fee, Fr Brian Slater, Fr John McCallion, Fr Paddy Hughes and the recently deceased Fr Seamus McGinley (R.I.P). Thank you also to our Church Sacristans, Paddy and John.

Our sincere thanks to Patsy Taggart and Kevin Quinn, Funeral Directors, for the very efficient, dignified, supportive and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements during these difficult times.

Thanks to Malachi Cush and Plunkett McGartland for the beautiful music provided at the Mass.

Gratitude to Gary Harte, gravedigger, who prepared Mummy’s Final Resting Place.

Thank you to all who provided food and refreshments during the wake. Special thanks to Gervin’s Restaurant for providing the food afterwards.

Thank you most sincerely for the very generous donations made to Marie Curie in lieu of flowers.

As it is not possible to thank everyone, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation.

Mummy’s positivity, faith, mental strength and kindness were inspirational and the manner in which she lived her life will serve as a great example for all of her family for many years to come.

Phyllis’ Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in The Church of The Holy Family Coalisland on Friday February 25, at 7:30pm.
