The village of Moy will be getting a special spotlight tonight (August 15) on BBC 1 NI as comedian Paddy Raff and actress Tara Lynne O’Neill, of Derry Girls fame, make a stop off for Paddy and Nigel’s Tourist Trap.

In a teaser for the episode the pair “give themselves whiplash” as they drive through looking at all the shops!

While there, Paddy and Tara try their hand at gin-making, jive dancing and pint pulling.

As a guest for the Moy episode – which airs tonight as the first episode in the series – Tara Lynn appears with Paddy to suss out the popular shopping village as an “alternative tourist destination” in Northern Ireland.

In September 2024, Armagh I also featured Moy as a “one-stop shop” with the option of overnight stay.

The County Tyrone village sits in close proximity to Armagh city and offers everything from food to furnishings and financial advice.

It’s home to the historic and award-winning Tomney’s Bar and stunning Georgian-style Charlemont House.

It’s an ideal destination for those who wish to shop local; supporting our valued independent retailers.

Tune in tonight at 10.40pm to find out what the comedic pair make of it… and to see if they did manage to “pick up the Moy accent” after all!

The episode is also available to view on BBC iPlayer.
