Acknowledgement for the late Brian Morgan (Madden)

Morgan, Brian.

Brian’s wife Yvonne and sons and daughters would like to thank all those who sympathised with them during their recent sad bereavement. To all our wonderful family, friends and kind neighbours whose help and support was invaluable over the wake and funeral and indeed throughout the years.

To all those who attended the wake and funeral, brought mass/sympathy cards, telephoned, messaged or posted online their condolences we assure you these were greatly appreciated.

Thanks also to the many individuals and businesses who brought gifts of food to the house and to the ladies who made and served the tea throughout the busy days of the wake. We thank Barry Hughes for the provision and erection of the marquee and lights , and to all those who give donations to Cuan Mhuire in lieu of flowers.

Brian was enabled to live a full life at home despite his medical condition with thanks to the Doctors/Nurses and staff of Abbey Court Surgery and the Community Respiratory Team so we cannot express our appreciation adequately enough.

We thank also the First Responders and the N.I.A.S who attended Brian on the morning of his passing and treated him with such care compassion and professionalism and to the Emergency Dept of Craigavon hospital.

We thank also the priests of the parish and in particular Fr Sean ONeill who attended Brian at home and provided much needed pastoral care to our family and for celebrating a very personal and fitting funeral mass and to Canon Crawley for his prayerful presence. Thanks also to Catherine and Dermot for providing the music which enhanced the mass and to Paul the Sacriston for preparing the church.

Massive thanks to a few important groups. First the members of the A.A fellowship who Brian was proud to call his friends and support system and secondly to the Madden Raparees and Road Bowls who provided a very dignified Guard of Honour to their former member and helped carry his coffin we were indeed humbled by your presence and help.

We thank St Josephs Primary School Madden and the Community Centre for permitting car parking for wake attendees and to all the men who not only provided parking assistance but also taxied people to and from the house, thank you all so much.

Finally we thank the ladies who provided and served the beautiful post burial refreshments and to Madden Hall Committee for the use of the hall. Last to Bridget and BJ of Mone Funeral Directors for the complete, responsive and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements.

At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.

Brian’s month mind mass will be held in St Joseph’s Church Madden on Tuesday October 24, at 7pm.
