Dying To Meet You

Richard and Barbara are a happily married couple whose lives are a bit humdrum now that their two children have left home.

Their neighbours Tom and Beryl are on good terms with them and the trouble starts when Tom suggests to Richard a way of making money by renting out their spare room to someone. This he does (without telling his wife), to a young man who happens to be an undertaker.

Barbara on the other hand does something similar by renting the other room to a young Italian girl with little English. Richard does his best to hide the fact that the young man is an undertaker, which leads to all sorts of problems as the young girl, Gina, gets friendly with the undertaker, Clive.

Add to this mix an Inspector Of Taxes and a mysterious Italian uncle of Gina’s who has links with the Mafia and you have an uproarious state of affairs with the possibility of total bedlam, with all trying to come to terms with living with an undertaker and being in danger from the Mafia whilst avoiding being charged more tax for renting out a room as extra income.

Singin’ I’m No a Billy, He’s a Tim

Force adversaries to talk and you may achieve peace.

What happens when you lock up a Celtic fan with a Rangers fan on the day of the big match?

Fireworks! That’s What!

Des Dillon delights, entertains and educates on the religious origins of Celtic-Ranger conflict.

Beneath its amusement, this award winning play explores bigotry and ethnic identity on both a microcosmic and macrocosmic scale. Through the lens of the two characters locked in a prison cell, we witness the generational repercussions of Catholic and Protestant strife.

Furthermore the play functions as a broader allegory, addressing bigotry-motivated hate across multiple communities. It extends beyond the immediate conflict, including references to the UK immigration crisis and tensions in Palestine, making it a powerful commentary on the universal nature of prejudice and division.

I Can’t Believe it’s Not Ireland

Join Paddy Cullivan on a hilariously insightful journey through the history of partition and the Ireland of the future.

Imagine this. It’s 2032. The people have spoken on both sides of the border and Ireland is a brand new 32-county country. There’s a new flag. A new anthem. There’s even a new capital! As Unionists holiday in the south, discovering the imperial joys of ‘Royal’ Dublin – southerners discover the ancient landscape of Ulster beyond the retail outlets of Newry and Titanic Belfast. Magical things happen when you create a new country – where everything is on the table – and it’s exciting.

Leave all your preconceptions at the door. It’s not a United Ireland. It’s not an ‘agreed’ Ireland. It’s not ‘shared’ – nor is it ‘new’. It’s simply – ‘I can’t believe it’s not Ireland’! But first… we have to get there. Pushing optimism over despair, Paddy has created an uplifting vision of the future, a show that breaks down barriers and long-held perceptions. As fair to the unionist tradition as the nationalist, this show has enlightened and entertained people from East as well as West Belfast – and even Cork. An audio-visual spectacular full of song, comedy, incisive history and incredible futuristic imagery with the help of A.I., audiences who loved ‘The Murder of Michael Collins’ have all said the same thing about ‘I Can’t Believe it’s Not Ireland’ – they leave on a high.

In 2022, the musical’s setting was relocated to the UK by Barn Theatre, receiving outstanding reviews from audiences and critics alike.
