An ‘Afternoon on the Hill of Armagh’ normally involves a visit to St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral, Armagh Robinson Library and No 5 Vicars’ Hill. This ‘Afternoon on the Hill of Armagh’ comes with a difference as the third and final building to visit on the tour, No 5 Vicars’ Hill, will host a demonstration on paper conservation.
Paper conservator, Sean Madden, from Fine Art Conservation will show how he conserves and protects precious prints and letters.
No better place to see this work in action than in the 250 year old former Registry which was built to house precious diocesan and civic papers and documents in Armagh.
