Friends of Daisy Hill to host first Gala May Ball fundraiser

The Friends of Daisy Hill Hospital are delighted to announce that their first ever Gala May Ball will take place on Friday, May 29, at 8pm in the Canal Court Hotel.

The charity has been fundraising for patient comforts for over 55 years and during this time has donated thousands of pounds to make improvements throughout the hospital.

Over the years, the Friends of Daisy Hill Hospital has donated fans, chairs for patients and visitors, toys for Outpatients and Children’s Ward, furnished the Patient Support Office, provided TVs, chairs and stools for each patient in the High Dependency Unit and most recently have funded the decoration of the new children’s treatment and waiting rooms in the Emergency Department.

Mr Ronnie O’Hare, President of The Friends of Daisy Hill Hospital said: “We are proud of Daisy Hill as our local hospital and have watched how it has advanced over the years. We know that public money has to be used for equipment and vital medical supplies so through our work, try to complement the great work of staff by providing those extra items to help improve the patient experience.

“We would like to thank all the local people who have supported us over the years and would encourage everyone to come along on this very special evening to celebrate the great work of Daisy Hill staff and show their support to the hospital.”

Tickets cost £40 each and are on sale until 1st May – Tel: 028 3083 5000.
